Choir

We’re not looking for soloists.  In fact, a choir of soloists is not a very good choir.  Instead, we are looking for people who enjoy singing with others.  Does this describe you?  Then come join us.

“I can’t sing that high.”  You don’t need to.  The choir divides itself generally into four sections based on the range of each singer’s voice.  Yes, there is a part for women who sing in the men’s range.  It is called “contralto.”  We could use some contraltos.  Does this describe you?  We have a place for you.

“I don’t read music.”  This is easy: we can teach you.  More important than reading, though, is your ability to listen.  Know that we have aids to help you learn your part.  You will not be alone; you will have companions to help you stay on your part as well.  You can do this and we can help you.  Come, sing with us.
