Bible Study meets every Monday night at 7:30 in the Youth Group Room on the lower level. Starting January 8, we will be reading two epistles of the apostle Paul – Philippians and Colossians. Both of these two epistles, or letters, of Paul detail some of the concerns of the early church. Paul’s letter to the Philippians addresses the problem of disharmony among the community. The issues before the Colossians include proper worship and theology as well as the importance of a Christian lifestyle. We will examine the issues facing the church as depicted in the text. We will also consider the concerns regarding the text, including whether Paul wrote them at all! Additionally, we will give thought to how they relate to the church and society today. See Gary Gumuchian with any questions.
